Eucalypt Media collaborated with The Atlantic’s integrated marketing department on a major native advertising campaign on behalf of a Fortune 100 financial company, which ran on TheAtlantic.com and its associated properties for a three-month period.
In the campaign, “Stories of Economic Progress,” Eucalypt Media identified a set of more than two dozen innovative small businesses and organizations throughout the United States to profile for the series of sponsored articles, including The Downtown Project, Challenge Detroit, Lit Motors, and Boston Startup School. Eucalypt Media principal Kathryn Hawkins then traveled throughout the country to tour many of the business’ headquarters and interview the owners, and we developed in-depth feature articles about each of the companies which were featured on the site over the course of the marketing campaign, along with an interactive map and numerous video documentaries spotlighting several of the companies.
This innovative custom content project was The Atlantic’s most successful to date: Stories from the series were viewed more than 2.5 million times, with nine times more social shares per story than any of The Atlantic’s previous custom content programs.
