When you work with Eucalypt Media, you’re gaining access to a team of highly capable writers, editors, marketers, and other creative talent with the skills and drive to support your organization’s goals.
We don’t want to take your money and run, or make big promises we can’t deliver on—we’re focused on gaining a thorough understanding of your business goals and developing a long-term relationship with you, so that we can develop a custom-built team on your behalf and support you as you grow.
While we will occasionally take on individual projects, our primary focus is on developing ongoing retainer-based engagements with our clients. Depending on the nature of your marketing needs, our contracts are renewable on a quarterly or annual basis.

Because our clients’ needs and industries vary greatly, we don’t offer cookie-cutter fixed-price packages. Instead, we’ll ask you to fill out our inquiry form, so that we can get a sense of your budget and how mature your content marketing strategy is, and may schedule a quick follow-up call to learn more. (We don't do sales pitches; it's just about learning who you are.) We can also provide you with industry-specific work samples to showcase our capabilities.
We will then provide you with a project estimate based on the needs we’ve identified from our discussion, or from your creative brief if you have one. Once we’ve decided that we’re a good fit for each other, we’ll send you a contract. (If your organization’s contract must be used, there will be a minimum $500 surcharge for our legal review.)
In the initial consultation stage, we’ll learn about your organization, where you are, and where you’d like to be. We’ll talk about what resources you have in-house, and what additional content marketing needs you may need to supplement them. If you’ve already planned an editorial calendar, we’ll get ready to execute it; if not, we will spend additional time in the consulting stage on developing a strategy to reach your target audience, and create a detailed quarterly editorial calendar and content marketing plan on your behalf, which may also include PR initiatives as appropriate. We’ll discuss what benchmarks we should use to measure your success, and set up a system to track them.
Although we’re a small agency, we’ve built a network of highly skilled partners with expertise in many industries, so we will carefully curate the right mix of experts to assist with your projects, and provide you with their names and bios. Depending on the nature of the project, you may collaborate with them directly—we believe in transparency, and are proud of the people we work with. Unlike many agencies, we are also happy to include your internal team in our collaboration process.
At this stage, we will also work to set you up with any technology services that can optimize your workflow, based on the needs we’ve previously identified in our consultation.
We use the project management system Teamwork to streamline our workflow and easily track tasks and communications between our team and yours. We’ll set up a private wiki document that’s shared with our team to provide them with the information they need to keep in mind when writing on behalf of your organization. We’ll use the system to send automated reminders of what we need from you (i.e., approving articles, responding to media inquiries, or clarifying topic requests), and to send you our completed work.
We use the cloud-based Google Drive platform (which integrates with Teamwork) to create a custom spreadsheet for each client to track content topics and their progress, and to submit completed work. In most cases, our contract includes one or more rounds of revision to each content piece.
We are also experienced with photo sourcing and web production, so we can add content directly to your website if you add this service to your package. Our team has significant website development experience, and can work in any CMS, including custom HTML requests.
Our project managers and principals are always available to answer questions regarding your project via the messaging service in our Teamwork system. We also understand that personal contact is important, so we offer a monthly “check in call” to discuss ongoing work and gather feedback. We also include a quarterly consultation and additional editorial calendar planning in any ongoing retainer package. We may also include onsite visits in a retainer package for clients based in Maine and Northern New England.
